Our live-streamed event is over, but we've not gone away! 24 hours for Tigray consists of Tigrayan diaspora groups and people concerned about the appalling conflict that has engulfed Tigray and impacted on Tigrayans living elsewhere in Ethiopia and abroad. We're assessing the huge response to our live-streamed event. So watch this space or sign up and we'll get back to you. Thanks for your support and thanks to everyone who took part in, supported and shared our 24 live-streamed event.

We'll be posting content from around the world below - so save a link to this site.

Stand with Tigray

This powerful film, made by young Tigrayans, tells the story of victims of the Axum massacre. It was made at a time when the world was still in denial about the massacres taking place in Tigray. Since then reports by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have verified what people on the ground were experiencing, the brutal, wholesale massacre of the people of Tigray. It's called "Stand With Tigray."

Background to the conflict in Tigray

Watch LIVE!

Our live-streaming event of 9th - 10th March is over. However we will be re-streaming, so watch this space

Please note:  The live stream will refresh at Midnight GMT on Wednesday 10th March (4pm PST on Tuesday 9th) as we head over to the West Coast of America.  Please refresh the page at this time to start watching the second half of the event.

Having trouble watching the live stream?  Here are some tips:

  • If the video won't start:
    • If you are watching on an Internet Explorer or Firefox browser, switch to Google Chrome.
    • If you are on a cloud-based or intranet system, try logging out of that system or watching on a personal device instead.
    • Firewalls and VPNs sometimes block video - if you are comfortable doing so, try switching yours off.
    • When all else fails, refresh the page!

  • If the video is buffering:
    • There will be a Settings icon in the bottom right of the video player, next to the volume control - click on that button to change the resolution you are watching in.  Watching in 360p or 480p will put less strain on your internet connection and will reduce buffering.
    • Pause the video for a few seconds, then try clicking the play button again.
    • When all else fails, refresh the page!

Don't forget:  The live stream will refresh at Midnight GMT on Wednesday 10th March (4pm PST on Tuesday 9th) as we head over to the West Coast of America. Please refresh the page at this time to start watching the second half of the event.
